  • Should I add Hot Wheels Silver series cars to my collection?

In the fall of 2023, Hot Wheels debuted the Silver logo line series. Not much has been officially released about this series from Mattel, which is typical. From what we can tell, the cars from this line tend to include  more bumper to bumper details than what we normally see from mainlines and the typical Walmart auto themed mixes. And a few (2 or 3) of the cars from the sets, typically have metal bases, which is definitely a premium feature that we don’t see a lot, even on cars from Hot Wheels Premium or Car Culture lines. Beyond that, there is a good mix of cars (mostly JDM) trucks and bikes from the Hot Wheels silver line mixes, worth adding to your collection.

How many sets are in the Hot Wheels Silver Line?

The Hot Wheels Silver logo line treatment was initially applied to 13 sets Walmart Exclusive  GDG44 (auto, entertainment themed, 5 car Fast and furious) sets. Later on, the Silver logo line was expanded to the Hot Wheels Batman DC 20 car series and JDM, Euro, Exotic 6 pack bundles. Here is a breakdown of the sets:

    • Porsche Series
    • Fast Wagons
    • Vintage Racing (2 mixes)
    • Gran Turismo
    • Stars and Stripes
    • Sponge Bob 25th Anniversary
    • HW J-Imports
    • Tubular Trucks
    • Motor Cycle Club
    • HW Speed graphics
    • 90’s Street Scene
    • Fast and Furious 5 car sets (3 mixes)
    • Batman DC Series 5 car sets (4 mixes)

Are there any chases from the Silver Line Series?

Yes, there appears to be 2 chases from the only 6 car sets of Hot Wheels Silver line. The red 1967 Camaro from  mix A of the Hot wheels Vintage Racing series. And the green 914-6  Porsche from Hot Wheels Porsche Series.
