Hot Wheels 2025 Silver series Vintage Racing Club National Icons – 1967 Porsche 911 R red chase JBY91

The Vintage Racing Club has produced multiple waves under the Silver Series banner. The 2024 Mix 2 complete set (HRT81-956B) includes a 1962 Corvette, Toyota 2000 GT, and Ford Mustang Boss 302. The 2026 Barn Finds edition (HRT81-956H) shifts the theme toward unrestored classics — Ford Mustang, Porsche 911 in blue, and VW Bug among the five cars. Each wave has its own thematic identity within the broader Vintage Racing Club concept.

Barn Finds takes the Vintage Racing Club concept in a weathered, patina-inspired direction — think unrestored classics with a lived-in look rather than show-car polish. The 1971 Porsche 911 in blue (Barn Finds #4) and the VW Bug fit that theme perfectly. It’s a creative direction that resonates deeply with the vintage car community, where a legitimate barn find is worth more than a restored one.

The Toyota 2000 GT is one of the most historically significant Japanese sports cars ever built — and one of the rarest, with fewer than 350 produced originally. Hot Wheels putting it in the Vintage Racing Club set alongside American muscle and European sports cars is a statement about how seriously they’re curating these lineups. It’s consistently one of the more discussed cars in the VRC sets.

Yes, all Vintage Racing Club Silver Series sets are Walmart exclusives. JTC Collectibles carries both complete sets and individual cars, including the 1971 Porsche 911 from the Barn Finds edition and the Toyota 2000 GT from the Mix 2 set.

Both are strong for different reasons. Mix 2 has the Toyota 2000 GT, which is hard to top as a single card. Barn Finds has the more thematically cohesive concept, and the patina aesthetic gives it a visual identity that photographs extremely well on a shelf. For pure long-term value, a sealed complete set of either wave is the safest play.
